Mission Statement
The purpose of the HVFD is to expend
every reasonable effort for
the protection of life and property
within the Harrison Fire Department boundaries
in the prevention and suppression of fire
and all other emergencies,
hazardous conditions or situations,
and rescue operations.
We pledge to support
all county and state entities
with mutual aid
within our capabilities.

The Harrison, Pony, Norris, Summit Valley Volunteer Fire Department currently has 16 volunteer members on call 24 hours a day, 365 days out of the year. We provide a dedicated service to the community and mutual aid to the surrounding areas in need. These services include emergency medical response, traffic control, fire response and investigation, rescue response, wildland firefighting, and fire safety education. Our rural district , covering 230 square miles, including a span of 147,000 acres and 726 residents, requires four stations and occasional mutual aid to thoroughly cover all areas.
