3rd Annual Madison County Fire Academy
April 23-25, 2010
All neighboring departments are welcome to attend.

The MSU Fire Service Training School serves all of Montana's fire departments, companies, and districts.  This audience consists of an estimated 11,000 members in 432 fire companies, 96% of which are volunteers.  The FSTS develops and operates programs which make local government effective in their mission of providing quality fire and rescue service to the public.  FSTS supports and promotes the following:
 
  • "Standard of Care" Operations
  • Self-sustained training programs within local organizations
  • Sharing of resources between organizations
  • Individual growth of emergency service personnel through training

Friday: 23 April
1700 - 2200   PPE, SCBA/Buddy Breathing, Confined Space/May Day

Saturday: 24 April
0730 - 0800   Opening/Muffins, Fruit, Coffee
0800 - 1200   Initial Fire Attack (Structure), Propane Fire Attack, Pump Op's, RIT, IC, DNRC Station if available
1200 - 1300   Lunch
1300 - 1700   Initial Fire Attack (Structure), Propane Fire Attack, Pump Op's, RIT, IC, DNRC Station if available

Sunday: 25 April
0730 - 0800   Opening/Muffins, Fruit, Coffee
0800 - 1200   RIT, IC, Confined Space, DNRC Station if available
1200 - 1300   Lunch, Clean-up, AAR

Training goals include:
 
IC/Communications, Pumping, Fire Attack, RIT, Having fun, and Learning at your own pace.
